K2NC and RDH21 catalyst from the Kia Rio model

Catalyst number K2NC is present in brand cars Nissan, Hyundai and Kia.
This collector catalyst has four asymmetrical splines. Its length is about 35 cm, and the longest section along it is about 30 cm wide.

Catalysts RDH21 are used by the Hyundai brand and Kia. They measure almost 40 cm long and 18 cm wide. The weight of the insert is 1.12 kg. A characteristic feature is the perforated central part of the cover and a specific pattern on both sides of the catalyst.

What connects these two catalysts? Both of the above models were installed on the 2001 Kia Rio model and were manufactured by Ismeretlen. The first of them was mounted with 1.5 units. The second in engine versions 1.3

Kia Rio is a car manufactured by the Korean automotive group Kia Motors. Rio is a relatively young car, its production began in November 1999, and in 2017 the fourth series of this model was launched.
This small car on the border between B and C is classified as city cars, created for people who value simplicity and low costs of buying and maintaining a vehicle.
This car was first presented at the Geneva Motor Show. Initially, the manufacturer offered to buy the urban version of the 5-door station wagon, as well as the 4-door sedan.
The subcompact vehicle became the successor of the Avella model and later also the Pride model.
Kia Motors in its Rio proposed two engine models with four power variants:
1.3 (75 and 82 HP) and 1.5 (95 and 105HP).
In terms of exterior design, it’s safe to say that it looks pretty good.
The large trunk volume of 449l is a big advantage of the car.
The most common faults can be found on the bodywork, chassis and electrical installations.
Although the artificial-looking interior of the vehicle does not impress, the car is worth the price. Users of this vehicle despite its mediocrity and praise this model for its relatively low failure rate.

II version Kia Rio was presented in 2005 at the Detroit motor show.
The new version of the car was designed from scratch. The new body design, increasing the vehicle’s external dimensions as well as increasing driving safety and fuel economy are just a few modernizations that have been introduced to the second series of the Rio model.
In 2009, the car underwent a facelift, which consisted in equipping all models with a Sirius satellite radio and a radio with a USB port with an additional socket.
The steering wheel was taken over from the Kia Soul and Kia Forte models with the optional built-in speakerphone. The headlight shades and rear lamps have also made the exterior look refreshed.
The basic version of the car was equipped with two airbags, a tachometer, central locking, electric windscreen control and a split and folding rear seat.
The designers of the Korean vehicle have made every effort to adapt the vehicle to the taste of Europeans.
Compared to the first version, Rio was no longer a typical city car.
The debut estate version was replaced by a 5-door hatchback, the sedan version remained with the original 4-door image.
The Euro NCAP results for the 5 door Hatchback variant showed that the vehicle is rated average safety in terms of safety.
Models such as Ford Fussion, Seat Cordoba and Dacia Logan turned out to be the biggest competitors of the vehicle.

Production of this model series ended in 2011.

The Rio III series produced in the years 2011-2017 has undergone a spectacular transformation both external and internal. The main originator of the new look is the famous stylist Peter Schreyer.
Heavily inclined windshield, sporting front bumper image, new, chromed radiator grille in the shape of the so-called tiger nose, scary looking headlights are just a few details that introduced the main designer Kii causing a more modern and inviting look.
The dashboard has also been modernized, which has been built-up with great precision, giving it an elegant and sporty character. The manufacturer also took care of a wide selection of equipment versions. The basic one included ABS, electric windows and mirrors, central locking, CD / MP3 radio with multifunction steering wheel, 6 airbags.
Compared to previous versions, this vehicle model had a lot of room for the driver and passengers. You can’t complain about the lack of space in the trunk. The increased vehicle length to 404 cm gives a volume of 288 liters in the trunk, which can be increased to 900 liters after folding the seats.
In the III version of Rio you can find two engine versions in gasoline and two diesel. The gasoline engine had capacities 1.2 (85HP), 1.4 (109HP), and diesel 1.1 (75HP), 1.4 (90HP).
Without a doubt, this car model visually exudes dynamism and modernity.

The latest Kia Motors offer was presented in Paris during the car showroom in 2017.
This time, the manufacturer in terms of style made the car similar to the Kia Picanto model, while his twin brother was Hyundai i20 with whom he shares, among others floor plate.
Compared to previous versions, the Kia Rio IV is dedicated to one version of the 5-door hatchback. Engine versions have also changed. In gasoline we can find engines: 1.0 (120HP), 1.2 (84HP), 1.4 (100HP) when it comes to diesel, the engine 1.4 (90HP) appears here.
The new Kia quality is primarily an attractive styling, functional interior, rich equipment and a high level of security, thanks to which this model has become a high class urban car.
Rio ranks third among the most-bought Korean Kia Motors vehicles in Poland.
