As you know, regulations related to environmental protection quite often undergo various changes. It is worth following the website of the Ministry of the Environment, reliable thematic portals, and of course our blog to be up to date.

Whenever there are any novelties related to waste management, record keeping or reporting, we immediately inform you about it.

This time, we would like to introduce you to the draft ordinance of the Minister of the Environment of 19 April 2019, which is to enter into force on May 1 this year.

This is a regulation on the specimens of documents used for the purposes of recording waste. It sets their new designs.

The following patterns are subject to changes:

1) the model of waste transfer card;
2) the model of the waste record card;
3) the model of the hazardous waste record card;
4) a model of a record card for municipal sewage sludge;
5) the model of the record card of waste electrical and electronic equipment; 6) design of the registration card of end-of-life vehicles;

In the case of a waste transfer card, the only changes we can see are the number on the REGON number, and no need to use a stamp in the fields for signature and date.

These catalytic converters were installed in Suzuki Swift cars with a 1.0 and 1.3 gasoline drive in 2000.

Suzuki Swift is a Japanese, compact car produced since 1983. It was shown to the world for the first time at the Tokyo Motor Show as Suzuki Cultus. The last, sixth series was presented in 2017.

The first generation was reserved only for the American, Asian and Australian markets and was available in 4 variants of the body, including a convertible.

For many years, the model was sold under various names – Chevrolet Sprint, Holden Barina, Pontiac or Maruti, through numerous joint ventures with General Motors.

In the case of the first two series, there were two motor units to choose from – 1.0 and 1.3l

The third series debuted in 1994 and was created from the transformation of the second series. It was also available as Subaru Justy. This car was equipped with a 53 hp gasoline engine 1.0.

The car was available as a 3- and 5-door sedan and cabriolet. The maximum speed that the car could reach is only 150 km / h. Similarly to the first two generations, the third was also sold with the brands of the GM automotive concern.

The fourth series debuted in 2004. It was significantly different from previous generations. It was a bit shorter, but undoubtedly more spacious, modern, and the interior was characterized by a greater solidity of performance. With the entry of the fourth series, contracts with General Motors are also expiring, and Suzuki decided not to export the car to the United States. Instead, cooperation with Indians was established. As a result, she made a 4-door version of the sedan, which, however, was not imported into Europe.

Cars for the European market were produced in Hungary Splash and Agila, which, however, did not raise much sympathy.

The next generation was presented at the Paris Motor Show, but the official model photos and technical data were only announced at the beginning of September 2010. This model has been subjected to very rigorous Euro NCAP tests and obtained 5 stars in it. Compared with the previous version, it looks completely different, but it keeps the same layout when it comes to the front. The interiors are made of the highest quality materials. Three years later, it was decided to restyling, and the range of cars was increased by two-colored cars.

The sixth – current series – entered the automotive market in mid-March 2016. Her debut took place this time in her home country of Suzuki, in Japan. However, the European version was shown at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2017, and sold two months later.

The car was built on a Heartect platform, which was used in the production of Suzuki Baleno and Ignis. After modifying it, the weight of the car decreased to just over 900 kg. It uses a four-cylinder gasoline engine with a dual injector of 1.2 – Dualjet capacity, 90 HP, and a 3-cylinder version of 1.0 l with a supercharged 111 hp. The car received in 2018 the Japanese “RJC Car of the Year” award, which is awarded by Japanese scientists and journalists.

After successfully introducing the vehicle to the Swift market, Suzuki decided to implement the concept of a new, improved version of the sport, which was demonstrated at the Australian Motor Show in 2012. The car was designed to be as aerodynamic as possible. The sporty front headlamp with LED daytime running lights, a spoiler and a modern exhaust system add to the charm. In addition, the chassis has been stiffened and the brakes have been improved.

Catalyst number K352/501240 is used by the PSA group, formed from the merger of Peugeot and Citroen. The catalyst has a longitudinal, rounded shape, perforated cover and asymmetrical outlets of various shapes. The length is 32 cm and the weight is 0.773 kg. On April 2, the retail price of this model is PLN 2,014.07. This is a 17% higher price than competitive prices. The catalyst is used in Citroen Xsara Picasso, and in Peugeot 206 1.6.

 

Peugeot 206 is a French passenger car from the B segment, produced from 1988 to 2012. When it was withdrawn from this model, it was the best-selling Peugeot in history. Over 2,677,000 created at a factory in Mulhouse, and around 10 million around the world. Production ceased in stages. For some time it was conducted in China, South America and Iran.

Interestingly, already in the early 90’s, the company began to think about introducing the successor for the Peugeot 205. The company, wanting to avoid bad investment, decided to stop and wait for the development of the situation. The ideas were put away “into a drawer”, and the designers closely watched the evolution of the automotive market. The fate of two previous models was also tracked: 106 and 306.

Model 306 competed with such popular and popular vehicles as Volkswagen Golf and Opel Astra. Peugeot 106, in turn, was unable to cover the needs of segment B. Meanwhile, Fiat Punto joined the competition. 205 was less modern compared to the competition.

The 206 project started in 1994 and was completed in 1998. It was supposed to be cut off from its predecessors. Turkish designer Murat Gunak created a car with soft and smooth lines. The front was made more attractive by the large size, sloping headlights that became the hallmark of the brand. There are several interesting solutions hidden in the car – the passenger cabin has a hidden storage under the passenger seat, while the luggage compartment volume can be extended. The windshield is much more sloping than in 205. Three and five-door versions were created.

Model 206 was created on a completely new platform, which was later also used for other cars from the PSA group. At the beginning, a mixed type braking system was used. Later, more powerful models appeared with disc brakes on all four wheels. Steering system with gears, included standard hydraulic support.

The production uses gasoline units from previous versions. They have only been slightly modified. Changes were made to the cooling circuit. A few solutions were also used to reduce friction. The only novelty was the 1.9 diesel engine

Both the 3-door and 5-door versions were sold in October 1998. Three equipment versions were available: XR, XT, and XS. However, only two are planned for diesel, which were named in sequence: XRD and XTD. The basic equipment included power steering and an airbag.

Optionally, you can buy an ABS system, a passenger air bag and aluminum rims.

The car received 4 stars in the Euro NCAP crash test.

Where did the high price of the model come from?

As in all cases, also here, the price of a used catalyst is influenced by the presence of precious elements. In this case, the XRF analysis with the aid of a spectrometer showed that the palladium content is 16 620 ppm, i.e. 16.620 g / Kg.

Catalysts numbered 96264037 are used by the Daewoo brand. They are known for their oblong and extremely symmetrical shape. They measure about 40 cm and weigh about 1.2 kg. Catalyst 96264037/AC/DAC/MADE IN KOREA on 29/03/2019 is worth PLN 510.30.

Model 96264037 was used by the brand in the Daewoo Rezzo 2.0 from 2001.

Daewoo Rezzo, is a compact MPV produced by Daewoo Motors from 2000 to 2009. Until 2004, in Europe it was sold under the Daewoo brand, in turn from January 2015 under the Chevrolet brand.

The name Rezzo functioned in Asia and some European countries. In other places, he was known as Tacuma. The end of its production left the gap for over two years, until the appearance of the Chevrolet Orlando – a minivan with seven seats.

The design of the car was made in the center of Pininfarina, while the mechanical solutions were taken largely from the first series of Daewoo Nubira. Several mechanical aspects come from the Opel Astra.

The egg-like construction has contributed to the success on the South-European market. The Rezzo style consists of streamlined shapes, a chrome mask, large, vertical rear lights and a large window size.

The very spacious passenger cabin has been equipped with plastic elements, which are characterized by modest quality. In early models, poor quality components are also mentioned.

The construction of the chassis is the same as in the case of Nubira. The luggage compartment capacity is from 325 to 1320 l, and the tank has a capacity of 60 liters. Tacuma provided space for five people.

After the purchase of the Korean Daewoo Motor company by General Motors, the GM Daewoo was founded and the Tacuma model underwent some aesthetic updates, mainly concentrated in the front area, thanks to the adoption of a new, more compact bonnet and the introduction of new ribs and air intakes at the front, which ensure greater flow air to the engine for cooling. With the arrival of GM Daewoo, the car was also imported to Africa and South America under the name Chevrolet Vivant.

In 2005. Tacuma was modified a second time: this time it was a bigger facelifting beginning with a name that will be adopted in Europe. It will no longer be sold by the Daewoo brand, but by the Chevrolet American brand (also part of General Motors). In fact, in January 2005.

Chevrolet Tacuma sold since 2005 was offered in two versions: SE – basic version and SX – flag version. As standard, all versions have: front and side airbags, ABS, radio CD, front and rear electric windows, power steering and height-adjustable steering wheel. Automatic aluminum wheels and fog lamps as well as air conditioning have been added to the SX. Options included manual air conditioning (for the SE version), sunroof (only SX) and metallic paint (for both versions).

In March 2008, Ukrainian President Viktor Andrijovich Yushchenko, along with the Ukrainian branch Chevrolet Europe, handed over to Leonid Stadnyk, the highest man in the world, who was entered into the Guinness Book of Records with his 2.57-meter height, modified by Tacuma.

Catalysts number GM32 are used by the German brand Opel. They are known for their narrow and long housing, which is just over half a meter. These catalysts weigh from 1.37 kg to 1.81 kg. The retail price of the GM32/90531239/F7 model as at March 29 is PLN 303.30.

Opel Astra G is used as well as Opel Zafira 2.0 DTI in Diesel version, engine version 2.0 from 1999.

We have already written about the Astra on the occasion of an article devoted to the GM22 catalyst. This time we will pay attention to Zafira.

Zafira is a minivan from the C segment. It has been produced in three series since 1999. Its design is based on the Opel Astra platform and the mechanics. Opel, creating this car, wanted to offer consumers something compact and practical, especially after the fiasco that ended with the launch of Opel Sintra. This model was not able to compete with other large minivans, despite the large spaciousness and agility. He was accused of poor finish and lack of credibility when it comes to security. Zafira was to become an alternative to the then-popular Megane Scenic.

The first generation existed in 1999. Technical solutions from Astra G were used for its production. Its entry into the automotive market was successful and gave rise to two more series. From the third, the model adopted the name Tourer.

The first series – Zafira A – was produced until 2005. What distinguishes him from the Renault van is its size and capacity. The car was supposed to be a compromise between smaller sizes and large capacity, as befits a minivan. In 1997, when the new Astra was presented in Frankfurt, Zafira was also presented as a conceptual design to prevent another failure and to realistically assess the chance of a car’s success.

The car’s marketing campaign began in May 1997, while sales were officially launched on April 16, 1999.

When it comes to aesthetics, we see a huge nod to Astra G, especially when it comes to the front of the car and its edges. The car seems to be slimmer than its main competitors and have more subtle and delicate shapes. A plastic list ran along the entire length of the car body. What you should pay attention to is a practical, wide flap from the luggage compartment, aligned flush with the bumper. Thanks to the appropriate profiling, loading large and heavy luggage has been definitely facilitated. The stylistics of the passenger cabin remained simple and classic. The whole interior has been designed with great caution. All this to get the best use of space. What gave Zafira advantage is also seven seats arranged in three rows. In this respect, the competition was pale and did not offer too many options. In addition, the possibility of folding the last row seats together or individually was introduced to increase the load capacity of the luggage compartment. This system, called Flex 7, was a pioneering solution at the time. In other brands, it was necessary to remove unused seats and leave them at home to make room for the luggage compartment to expand. As a result, instead of the luggage compartment capacity – 150 liters, Zafira was able to boast up to 600 liters. A similar solution was used in the Mitsubishi Space Wagon, but it was not as flexible as in the case of Opel.

Zafira used the Astra G floor, but in this case it was necessary to increase the wheelbase by about 10 cm. As a point of honor, the creators set themselves up, creating a safe car. The vehicle is provided with a rigid structure with good shock absorbing properties. The front frame is designed to absorb energy in the event of frontal collisions. During a side impact, passengers were protected by special anti-burglary bars on the door. Similarly, when it comes to mechanical issues, the Astra systems were used – the MacPherson suspension, the automatic disc, the identical control unit in ABS. Only brake discs were used a bit larger. At the beginning, there were two engine versions available: 1.6 and 1.8 – with four valves. Their power was respectively 101 and 115 hp.

The car had as part of the basic equipment version: ABS system, double airbags, traction control system, air conditioning and heated exterior mirrors.

Optionally, the car could be equipped with anti-theft, cruise control, sunroof or even an automatic gearbox.

In 2001, Zafira 2.0 16v Turbo OPC appeared, which can be considered the first sports MPV. The maximum power was 192 hp, and the engine came from the Astra OPC. The bodywork also had a typically sporty character. At the end of 2001, a methane version also appeared. On the Italian market, known as Zafira Eco M.

There were three equipment versions available: Club, Enjoy and Cosmo.

In 2011, production of the third generation called Zafira Tourer began, although the name “Zafira C” is also allowed, due to the previous nomenclature. The presentation was also held in Frankfurt. Interestingly, the producers maintained the current trend and the next version meant even larger dimensions and a greater level of spaciousness. They also focused on greater modernity. The car is longer by almost 20 cm, wider by 12 cm and higher by 5. The design is more sophisticated than in the case of predecessors. The headlamps are placed in special boomerang housings. The rear flap is topped with a spoiler. The interior has been illuminated thanks to the glass spaces that make the cabin seem even larger. In addition, they provide good visibility to drivers. Production ended in 2018.

Today, we would like to summarize the year 2018 in terms of the amount of used catalysts that have collected companies operating in individual voivodships. Not only catalysts from passenger cars, but also from trucks, buses, motorcycles or machines were taken into account.

The following figure shows the annual sum of collected catalysts.

As you can see, the Małopolskie voivodship was ranked first with the DS Auto capital group, which includes the largest catalyst converter in Poland – Unimetal Recycling Sp. z o.o.

The amount we have collected is impressive and amounts to 384,000 catalysts code 16 08 01 and 16 08 03. The second place was taken by companies from the Wielkopolskie voivodship with the number of 46 thousand, followed by the Mazowieckie voivodship, in which the purchases recorded the value of 33,000. pieces.

Noteworthy is the Lubuskie Voivodeship, in which the number is less than 29 thousand used devices.

Where did we get the good result we achieved?

Outlets are arranged on different planes. One is located on the side, the other is directed in turn at an angle upwards, acting as an extension of the catalyst. Their length does not exceed 45 cm, but the weight is 1.74 kg. The retail price on March 8, 2019 is PLN 1,359 (EUR 315,90). At DS AUTO collection points, prices are assumed to be around 23% higher than in other purchases. We often receive signals from our customers that the price of this model can be significantly understated.

Mercedes Benz W 163 is a luxury ML class car. It is the first SUV brand. It is also the first Mercedes, whose production took place in Vance near Tuscaloosa (Alabama, USA). In order not to use the naming used by BMW, it was decided to change the M symbol to ML. It belongs to the first generation and for the first time it was shown to the world in 1997 in Frankfurt during the automotive show. He also made his debut in the USA.

Production lasted from 1997 to 2005. In 2001, facelift was decided, which resulted in the modification of the appearance of the rear lamps, as well as the inclusion of direction indicators in the mirrors.

It has a high towing capacity, which is typical for this type of body. It’s great for pulling heavy trailers. In 1998, the car won the prestigious title of the North American Truck of the Year. The range of engines consisted of six petrol versions, of which the ML55 AMG version could be considered the best. The maximum speed that could be achieved with it was 235 km / h, and the acceleration time “up to hundreds” is 6.8 s. There were two diesel versions – ML270 CDI and ML400 CDI. SUVs were available from 5 to 7 seats with an optional third row. The designers put a lot of emphasis on safety. The M class was the first to be equipped with electronic stability control. It is a system designed to detect the loss of driver control over the car and to initiate automatic intervention through selective braking. The car is also equipped with front and side shock absorbers that can detect the presence of a passenger in the front seat, which made the W 163 model achieve the highest possible rating in crash tests. To facilitate driving in difficult off-road conditions and to perform well on snow, it has been equipped with a four-stroke electronic traction system – 4-ETS.

It is worth mentioning that the car in June 2002 was used to build a papamobile for John Paul II. Later he also served his successor – Benedict XVI. The vehicle was equipped with a bulletproof windshield, air conditioning was installed in the cabin, and the engine was reinforced to reach 170 km / h in case of emergency.

The first generation was replaced by Mercedes Benz  W164 in 2005.

In total, from 1 April 1997 to April 2011, 1 170 000 copies of the ML class were manufactured. W 163 he was the most popular Mercedes model in this class. Almost 500,000 were sold copies.

What are the user opinions about driving?

They strongly advise against the diesel version. One should take into account the greater risk of failure of the flow meter, turbocharger or injectors. The heel of the model is, however, suspension and attention … clogging catalysts, which makes the cold engine go out right after firing.

1740060 are used by the BMW brand on petrol-powered models in 1997. Models in which they were mounted are BMW E39 523i and E36 320i, 323i, engine versions 2.0, 2.3, 2.5

BMW e39 – was produced as part of the 5 Series of the model. The car was the successor of E34. It was shown to the world for the first time at an automotive show in Frankfurt in September 1995, although the first prototype pictures appeared a few months earlier. It was produced until 2003, when it was replaced by E60.

E39 was the first car in the world where aluminum was used in the construction of the front suspension, and the first in the series, in which a four-cylinder diesel engine was used. The car was designed by a Japanese – Joji Nagashima. The car was tested in Alaska, South Africa and California, so temperatures ranged from -40 degrees Celsius to +50. Sales in Europe began in 1995, in December. Series 5 was produced at the BMW Dingolfing factory. At the beginning the car was offered only in the type of sedan. The bodyshell of this four-door car was made of steel, and 77% of the sheet metal surface was galvanized to protect it from corrosion. The structure was more solid and stiff compared to E34. Everything for security reasons. However, it was ensured that the car would not become too heavy. The resistance coefficient has also been reduced. In March 1997, the combi version – the so-called Touring, which in the additional version also had a folding load floor. The first facelift was decided in the autumn of 2000. The exchange – as in most of these types of operations – the headlamps, which were additionally enriched with LEDs. The front bumper was also redesigned, which was painted in the same color as the bodywork.

BMW e36 – the car was produced in the years 1990 – 2000 and belonged to the compact class. Like the e39, it was designed by an Asian – this time from China Pinky Lai. It appeared in such body versions as: sedan, estate, hatchback, coupe and convertible. His predecessor was the BMW e30. The successor, in turn, the famous e46. Using the e36 technology, models such as BMW Compact and Z3 were built. As with the predecessor, a wide variety of model variants were also used here. Only the four-wheel drive version was missing. The M3 sport version with a powerful six-cylinder engine was introduced.

The appearance of this model was influenced by aerodynamic parameters. In March 1992, the two-door sedan was replaced by a more flattened and enlarged version of the coupe. In April 1993, the cabriolet was introduced. Combi appeared only two years later. Many elements of the structure have been borrowed from e 30 – eg rear axle, ventilation grille or even switches.

The beginning of the series was not the most successful. Because of disturbed proportions, squeals and rattling were common. The first models were also extremely susceptible to corrosion. This fact was widely heard, especially in the German media. However, BMW quickly reacted to the unpleasant news and decided to improve the quality of production. Great emphasis was placed on the quality of the varnish. However, the part mismatch remained the Achilles’ heel of the e36. The most felt was the four-door sedan, which remained extremely vulnerable to wind noise.

An interesting fact is that in order to increase the safety of pedestrians, the front has been modified to make it more sloping and less prominent as in older models. This limits severe injuries to collision results with a protruding part.
